My name is Efrat and I’m a young designer living and working in the city of Tel Aviv. My passion for what I do is the most important component of my designs; therefore I used my nickname “Efi†as my company name. Though my jewelry making hobby began when I was 14, I have always loved art and using my hands. At age 5 I discovered clay, and took weekly classes. At age 13 I became the youngest member accepted to a unique group of 6 students working with one of Israel’s top clay artists. I continued with my clay work until recently and my works have been exhibited and sold in various fairs.This led me to study architecture, but as much as I loved it, something was missing. I got a job working at a high-tech company and in the evenings starting taking a gold and silver crafting course. After 2 ½ years, I took some time off and traveled in the Far East. This inspiring journey led me back to my passion, and when I returned I dedicated myself to what I loved – designing jewelry.I began to build my collection, using and combining all kinds of materials such as metals, lace, leather, fabric, crystals and pearls. With my collection building, I started to sell my jewelry, first at fairs, but I now sell to stores and on the internet as well. In addition to my jewelry line, I have a new accessories line, which includes belts, headbands, and designed clothing pins.Most recently, I have started sharing my passion with others and have started organizing jewelry making workshops for all different groups, but especially for children’s birthday parties.
